I have just pushed an update to CF.lumen to the Play store, it should be available for installing/updating shortly. Of course, you can also grab the latest APK in the XDA thread linked below.
Rootless and KCAL drivers have been added. Below is a short description for both of them, a full image quality and performance write-up is available in the second post of the XDA thread (linked below).
For those without root, CF.lumen now has a rootless driver. It uses an overlay like all the other apps that do something similar and cannot begin to come close to the image quality of the root-enabled drivers, but it's something.
KCAL is quickly becoming a popular kernel mod on Qualcomm-based devices, and CF.lumen now has a driver for that as well. While the image quality of various filters (especially night mode) is not as good with the KCAL driver as the original CF.lumen driver, the KCAL driver has no performance impact at all. So if your kernel supports it, you might want to try it out and see which driver works best for you.
As is becoming common in my apps, I've added a freeload option, which enables all Pro features without paying. Honestly, I'm not sure it'll stay in this app.

Is there a place where we can suggest an app idea? :D
tolle app, gleich die pro gekauft!
I was wondering if it would be possible to add a filter to lower the brightness rather than have to lower the RGB scale manually which is difficult to do with the current slider mechanism.
+Sebastian Muh Hier sollte man Englisch schreiben, viele verstehen sonst kein Wort.
@All Translation: Nice app, already bought the pro version
+Chainfire any plans to put CF.lumen on the Amazon App store like you did SuperSu?
Giving this app a go. Seems interesting.
Wanted to use it on my hlte but it is saying I need to uninstall drivers before every firmware update. But there are updates of the ROM almost daily. If I don't do that will that cause really some damage (FCs, softbrick,...)?
On my rooted Nexus 5 running stock 5.0.1 the filter gets darker for a second when I rotate the screen. It also seems to "ghost" a bit while scrolling. This is using the defaults.
Can I get a description
Thanks chainfire, bought the pro version instantly.
Hey cf... I have a problem.. I got the pro version.. Granted root permission.. But for some reason the root driver doesn't work at all.. The rootless driver does.. Any idea?
Thanks CF... just purchased. Currently going through all the settings
This app is awesome. Just bought the Pro! :) +Chainfire
I enjoyed the 'Freeload' featured. I got to try everything for a few days and see how it worked. Liked the result and bought pro.
If you are uncertain of keeping it, maybe change it to "Try Pro free for a week"?
Screenshots are decolored on CM12 (I'm not sure about other roms) / Nexus 5. Any idea?
+Chainfire I recently discovered this app, looks really nice! I've been using the Twilight App before but due to your display driver this is probably the better choice. One request: would you consider to add an option to manually set the "sundown" time? I'd like the filter to kick in a bit later during the day, not right after sunset :)
sec raw ! m
+Matthias Altermann Yes I had this a couple times, too. A reboot always fixed it for me. It's kind of weird as this should only happen on unrooted phones (when the app falls back on the overlay, this indeed disabled the install button on purpose so apps can't trick you into installing an app)
+Matthias Altermann well then obviously this is to be expected. No root, no custom display driver. Thus only the overlay which blocks hitting the install button.
Can't install apks even when filter is disabled
Vous êtes des champions mon mobile est très rapide maintenant
+tonyp this happens to me too. Rooted phone and using cflumen driver not rootless. Still hoping it can be fixed...
Root my android
बोहत अछा APP है
Using android 5.1.1, cf lumen v3, when I turn the screen off and back on after 30 sec or so, filter doesn't get applied even when sundown mode is activated.
Hey bro +Chainfire sorry for bothering asking you, I know many people asked you in the past, but is there a possibility that you release a version of CF lumen for Android jellybean? Sorry for my English and thanks in advance....
Love this app, so I thought I'd contact with an idea, contact email (from auto-reply) doesn't seem to work any more! If possible on Pro, to change to 'sleep' on the notification if I press Wake, and vice versa :)
Hey Chainfire, after installing this application of yours on my Yureka YU (CM11), it just soft bricked my phone. Now I cannot d anything, what is the solution ?

Hey +Chainfire thanks for this crap code and not helping me.
So I installed the lumen driver, but I was just wondering how to uninstall the driver if I don't like it?
