SuperSU has been updated to v0.93 !

(Play may take a few hours to update)

This is an important update - it fixes an issue related to slowing down permission grants. The case may still happen with first time authorization, but it should be solved for repeat access.

More detail on that later - lots of bad-mannered root apps going around.

thanks I'm waiting on Google Play

Sry to bother you, but what about recent reports that SU comes with a library that contains malware?

Rico Fox commented on 2012-07-03 at 15:47:

malware ? +Chainfire ?

Patrick Fallon commented on 2012-07-03 at 15:50:

Thanks for the head's up. Will check the Play Store throughout the day. Will second the post that states the XDA link is down (as of 850AM PST).

Oliver commented on 2012-07-03 at 15:53:

I've used the trend micro tool and it did not find anything...

Zoheb M. commented on 2012-07-03 at 15:53:

So which is more up to date SuperUser or SuperSU!?!?

Jorrit Jongma commented on 2012-07-03 at 16:02:

+Oliver Peterman err wtf... I certainly don't include that !

Jorrit Jongma commented on 2012-07-03 at 16:03:

+Oliver Peterman ah, I see from the report, these are repackaged apps... not my originals. Check the package names: eu.chainfire.supersu vs (repacked) eu.chainfire.newsupersu ! Not sure where Trend Micro got these files ...

Oliver commented on 2012-07-03 at 16:06:

Yes sry I was under the impression they got these apps from the play store... So heads up to everyone, don't get SU from anywhere else than play store and xda :)

Rico Fox commented on 2012-07-03 at 16:08:

RT Twitter of Chainfire http://twitter.com/#!/ChainfireXDA : WARNING: There are REPACKED versions of SuperSU and Chainfire3D floating around containing malware ! ONLY GET THEM FROM MY THREADS OR PLAY !

Rico Fox commented on 2012-07-03 at 16:10:

Do NOT get SuperSU or Chainfire3D or Mobile ODIN from ANY 3rd party app store or weird sites. ONLY my threads, my server or Play !

Jorrit Jongma commented on 2012-07-03 at 16:11:

+Matthias Knoll XDA is having some issues, sorry. I hope they will be fixed in a few hours. I know the server admin is working on the problem.

All - Version 0.93 is now registering on Play Store in USA as of 920AM PST.

Joe Philipps commented on 2012-07-03 at 17:35:

I tried to download the zip file from xda-developers, but the server responds 404-not found.   Hmmm....

Also, when I try the Play page, Google claims my tablet (a Pandigital Nova, BTW) is incompatible.  I don't know how to find out why (as in, what does Play declare the app needs that my Nova may lack?  I've downloaded it from another place (probably the 1Market app) and it seems to work OK, except for the mentioned "takes a long time sometimes" when executing su in some environments.).
