Live Logcat and Live Dmesg have been updated to v3.0 !

Changes include a lot of fixes regarding both the UI app as well as the native app (that does it's magic thing during boot), including a lot of adjustments to make it work better on HC/ICS, or at all on JB.

Also tested it on SGS3 and Nexus7, working fine for me!

As usual, Google Play may take a few hours to update the listings, so make sure you are using / update to v3.0, and not an older version.

Live Logcat:

Live Dmesg:

Remember, if you have both, you can run them in split screen mode during boot, and you can tap the screen or press a button to switch between logcat, dmesg, or split mode.

Hey, that pkg.to domain is really cool!

Markus Birth commented on 2012-08-25 at 14:04:

When installing it on a stock ROM, will OTA updates still work or will it make the files inconsistent?

Antony Cooper commented on 2012-08-25 at 14:08:

My first love on Android this app, so retro booting up :)

Corey Miecielica commented on 2012-08-25 at 15:26:

I forgot About these.. thanks +Chainfire ! This doesn't replace the bootani or does it? ..can't remember :-/

Chainfire commented on 2012-08-25 at 16:34:

+Markus Birth I'm not sure, tbh.

+Corey M Yes it does, but it does back up the old file.

Carlos Cruz commented on 2012-08-25 at 16:47:

Chainfire will sign my underwear.!!!!! Ps I just bought mine from the app store

Markus Birth commented on 2012-08-25 at 16:48:

+Chainfire If uninstallation completely undos all changes made to the file system, OTAs should work fine.

Eric Cochran commented on 2012-08-25 at 16:52:

Wohoo, N7 working?!  I'm buying it now.  Thanks for your great work!  I've just been waiting to buy it.

Rowen Nortje commented on 2012-08-25 at 16:53:

+Chainfire can you please release this for all regions? It is blocked in my country :-(.

Chainfire commented on 2012-08-25 at 17:12:

+Markus Birth It should.

+Rowen Nortje I removed all restrictions earlier today... that should have updated by now. Maybe that takes a bit longer ?

Rowen Nortje commented on 2012-08-25 at 17:25:

Yay! Will wait for Google Play to update :-). /can't wait! :-D

Vytautas Kažemikaitis commented on 2012-08-25 at 20:20:

Rowen Nortje commented on 2012-08-25 at 20:22:

Vytautas Kažemikaitis commented on 2012-08-26 at 21:03:

Still not available :(

Tony Roach commented on 2012-08-26 at 21:50:

+brij bhushan no you can not do that. WP7 has been ported to very few devices. And I believe all the devices that have received ports were all originally Windows Mobile Devices, I do not know of any Android device that has received a WP7 port, if I am wrong someone please chime in.

Chainfire commented on 2012-08-27 at 08:39:

+Vytautas K Sorry but I don't know what I can do about the problem... I've lifted all restrictions, if it's still not working/available for you then that is one of the gazillion problems with the Play Store :(

Vytautas Kažemikaitis commented on 2012-08-27 at 08:50:

strange... I have this problem only with you... and only with these programs... But... if I have this problem, many others also will have... and you will not receive money

Rowen Nortje commented on 2012-08-27 at 09:35:

I will wait it out :-). Sure it will sort out itself after a couple of days.

Vytautas Kažemikaitis commented on 2012-08-27 at 09:37:

yea, I will wait too :) Looks like Google is very slow :D

Brian O'Neal commented on 2012-08-27 at 15:03:

Isn't there an app called Market Enabler that allows you to get around that? It requires root but if you are commenting on a Chainfire posting, I would assume you have root anyway... :)

Rowen Nortje commented on 2012-08-28 at 09:49:

I could use Market Enabler but I prefer not going that route. Will give it a week or two, hopefully Google sorts it out :).

Brian O'Neal commented on 2012-08-28 at 15:13:

Your choice of course... :-)

Salvador Aguilar Patiño commented on 2012-08-28 at 23:05:

Rowen Nortje commented on 2012-09-06 at 12:02:

Google Play has finally marked this as available in my country! :D Now if only my CC would make itself available for purchases... :(

Justin Kalis commented on 2012-09-17 at 04:30:

Does this support AT&T i747 SGS3 I would like to use mobile oden to root and super user without having to enter manual download mode. I would also like to know if this version installs CWM ROM manager.

Vytautas Kažemikaitis commented on 2012-09-17 at 20:38:

KROWN Journey commented on 2012-10-04 at 13:39:

I have a question can do u know how to maks a custom keyboard with emoji 2 with it.. for rooted devices only.

Matthew Cushman commented on 2013-07-27 at 03:38:

Hi!  I just installed live logcat and dmesg (btw where do you live that you can get 2 beers for less than 4 bucks?)  on my vanilla android 4.2.2 (rooted, thanks to you and SuperSU) Galaxy s4 - sadly, neither seem to function.  I am bummed.  I was really looking forward to that :).  Any chance you'll get around to fixing it?  When I boot, after the initial samsung logo, the screen goes dead (lights out on the hardware buttons) while it boots, then comes back at the lock screen.  I wish I could help in some way, but I'm not there yet...  Thanks for your great work anyway, man - respect!
