This update brings support for x86 devices and basic multi-user support.
This is a test release because there have been some potentially problematic changes to the code. I have tested the changes across several devices without any problem so far, but I want a larger group of people to play with it before doing a real public release.
Please do not install this unless you know how to flash back the v1.05 update ZIP in case of problems.
Please report problems to the XDA thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
NOTE The link will be taken down as soon as show-stopper problems are found, or a normal release occurs, or etc.
EDIT: Test#2 linked. Please update if running the first test.
EDIT#2: Link removed - SuperSU v1.10 has been publicly released :)
Cool!
Ok try it now on GT-S5570 and B7510
Testing it out
testing... feedback in a while
Multi user? :O
Testing on Xperia Tipo
No Problem... Right Now... How About the update on playstore if I still use this version????
Unrelated question, I recently upgrade to 1.05 and PRO and my ESExplorer does refrain to run with root account now.
Working well On Galaxy S2 E4GT.
Finally Multiuser support it's here. I am testing it right now on my wife's account on nexus 7. Downloaded two apps that require root and both worked great. For the record the apps are titanium backup and adaway. Thanks +Chainfire , I will support your job by purchasing the pro version.
+Chainfire tested on nexus 7(android 4.2.2) with multiuser and galaxy nexus (android 4.2.2). Supersu 1.07 works well
for me, the multiuser didn't work, the secondary account say that is not enabled but i already have enabled it on the primary account
nexus 7 grouper 32Gb
Haha, SuperUser gets resurrected and suddenly SuperSU gets updated with the features it's been missing since 4.2 was released.
+Kyle Hawkins I don't see what's funny about that. They would have been implemented before SuperUser was resurrected if it wasn't for that damned dumpstate problem that took over a week to find and me going on vacation. I can't work 24/7 you know. Still, the multi-user support is not as extensive and intricate as I had originally envisioned, but I have come to consider my original idea for it as perhaps being over-engineered, over-complicated, and unneeded (at this time).
+Alexander Morales Sevilla Do you have it installed normally, or as /system app ? Have you tried "clearing data" for SuperSU on both primary and secondary users, then re-enabling the feature, to see if it works then ? You're the only "nay" reported so far out of several "yay"s :(
+Jeremy Loper Nothing useful really, it's not going anywhere. To continue now I pretty much need to shell out $25k, with little chance of actually winning, and if I do, I get maybe double that back. Maybe. Probably nothing. So err ... myeah.
+Chainfire Just thought it was funny is all. Friendly competition and all that. I know you can't work 24/7, and I wouldn't be here if I didn't support what you do. Didn't mean any offense.
Awesome! A zillion thanks!
+Kyle Hawkins No offense taken. But it is just a coincidence in this case :)
+Chainfire Sure it was ;-D
I'm hungry.
Second test version linked. This one should update binary. Please try again if you had issues.
+Chainfire The test#2 works really great with multiuser
1.07t2 works great on nexus 4. :)
+Alexander Morales Sevilla +Ronald Ammann Thanks! Stupid mistake, forgot to set the flag to force the binary to update. So it worked for everybody coming from 1.04, but not for those coming from 1.05.
DesireS, Android 4.2.2@CFX rom. SuperSu works fine
awesome work as usual!!
SuperSU v1.10 has been released. Removed the test link, get the official version now :)
