Is i9500 in the works?

Sinan Çetinkaya commented on 2013-04-28 at 22:08:

+Chainfire I have a suggestion. Can you make CF-Auto-Root accessible via ADB ?

Let say screen is broken or somehow android is not booting, Wouldn't it be good resetting flash counter through kernel's terminal interface?

Is it possible?

Chainfire commented on 2013-04-29 at 09:08:

+Sinan Çetinkaya It's on my todo list, no idea when.

can you update ExynosAbuse apk ? coz I wanna root my galaxy tab 2 7.0 and galaxy tab 2 10.1

Sycho Bob commented on 2013-05-09 at 23:55:

People are saying that it is useless to root a phone and that their is more risk to brick the phone then to get good results. Also people are saying that custom roms are full of exploits and viruses. Does it worth the effort and the risk to root a phone and load custom roms on it?

Marvin Lee commented on 2013-08-22 at 17:03:

Dear Chainfire,

You're probably the only one who can help me out. My device model is Samsung Note 8.0 Wi-Fi version(GT-N5110). I'd like to root my device but flased the wrong CF-Root file. I should flash Note 8.0's CF-Root file but did it with Galaxy S3's(cf-root-sgs3-v6.4.tar) instead. Although I flashed again with the correct one, but now whenever I reboot my deivce, it shows the incorrect model name like below.

Samsing

Galaxy SIII

GT-I9300

Is there any solution to fix it? Thanks for your prompt support and answers.

BTW, I also flashed with GT-N5110 stock firmware but it still shows incorrect device model name after rebooting.

Muhammad Nor Hidayat commented on 2013-08-22 at 17:12:

Marvin Lee have you try to factory reset using recovery ?

Marvin Lee commented on 2013-08-23 at 04:18:

No, but I will give it a try.

Muhammad Nor Hidayat commented on 2013-08-23 at 05:15:

dont backup coz it will backup the device name framework

Marvin Lee commented on 2013-08-23 at 15:14:

Tried factory reset but didn't work. The device name is still incorrect. Is it possible to flash the GT-N5110 splash screen only?

Muhammad Nor Hidayat commented on 2013-08-23 at 15:21:

I have no idea

Marvin Lee commented on 2013-08-23 at 15:25:

Thanks anyway.

Muhammad Nor Hidayat commented on 2013-08-23 at 15:30:

Brian Dolinsek commented on 2015-05-25 at 00:47:

Please help me to use your chainfire 3d app , I have GT5330L with android version 4.1.2. I tried to install it one time, but it give me a boot loop error and i have to re-flash my phone whit another stock rom cause in that time i not allowed adb to have root permission and i cann't uninstall the app by this way.

Thanks a lot anyway! :)
