I've just uploaded v1.11 to Google Play, it should start updating in a few hours.

There have been a lot of feature request (some of which I'm considering, and some which will never happen due to 500px API terms), and it is apparent a lot of people do not use it in the same way I do (I personally prefer a new image every time I check my phone).

Unfortunately I am swamped with work so I only had a few hours to spare, so there's still some way to go (like hardware acceleration). Nevertheless, this update should satisfy at least a few of the requests.

Changelog

  • NOTE: UPDATING WILL CLEAR CACHE

  • Triple tap opens 500px

  • Added NSFW switch

  • Longer refresh intervals for LWP

  • Fixed a scaling bug that could cause horrible pixelation

  • Change to interval settings now active immediately instead of at next image

  • Fixed miscalculation that could cause black bars

Thanks, I’ve tested a lot of live WP and it’s the first one with such quality. It would be great to have a gesture or a widget to « +1 » the photos we prefer and award the author.

Put a pro option, man, you should get something out of this beauty! Not that I'm complaining either way.

Caroline B. Update should be available in Google Play in a few hours!

I use it same way you do, it's an awesome app. New image every five minutes

Fantastic job CF! :)

If you do take feature requests, one suggestion would be, could you please allow refreshing of wallpapers on data connections? Or maybe atleast it can retain the previous wallpaper loaded instead of the error message to connect to WiFi.

This app is excellent and appears to have no noticeable battery drain for me, very happy. Thank you!

thanks for a great app! has much more variety and quality of wallpapers than 4chan&9gag i used before. only ONE thing your app lack comparing to the above is the ability to change walpaper not only on every screen off but also on every time the homescreen is displayed. for example: after each quiting or minimising the whatever app was on..

if u could do the same thing it`d be just superb!!

My favourite picture wallpaper app.

Will try it tonight. +Chainfire, is there and option to set a backup directory for offline wallpapers? If not, please consider it. It would be nice to link it to my wallpapers folder for the rare times when I don't connect to WiFi for more than 24 hours.

Love this app +Chainfire! Any chance that an option to change the lock screen wallpaper could make it into a future release? And I'm definitely with everyone that says you should have a pro or donate version.

Ryan Houseman commented on 2013-11-18 at 21:48:

+Chainfire This is your best app to date! Such a simple idea, yet so brilliant! Thanks and I hope you keep this one going! I would be more than willing to buy a "pro" or "donate" version.

Your app is so fantastic. I Love it. Thx so much

Alex Minnucci commented on 2013-11-19 at 04:43:

Love the app +Chainfire,  is it possible to disable triple click while the app draw is open? When I flick quickly hoping to get to the last page it opens the webpage for visible pic. Cheers

Really like this app thanks +Chainfire

Chainfire commented on 2013-11-19 at 08:57:

+Alex Minnucci yes I'll bring that next update probably. Didn't expect it to cause so much trouble but you're not the only one experiencing this. I'm probably going to turn it off by default.

Va no commented on 2013-11-19 at 12:44:

Absolutely love the app. Brought so much life to the phone!

One little request though if I may: please add numbered indicator to the brightness slider. Right now it's totally a guess work if try set to a specific value.

Thanks again for such fun app!

Hmm, I'm seemingly having an issue that is hard to determine the root cause for. Currently I'm going for the filter Popular:Black&White. I'm however seeing only photos with colors in them and no grayscales in sight. What gives? N4 with KitKat and GEL.

I really like the app idea, just want to understand if I'm missing something blatantly obvious...

Va no commented on 2013-11-20 at 16:00:

The cache contains many duplicate images. Perhaps some kind of check should be applied to prevent waste of space and bandwidth.

Andreas de Wilt commented on 2013-11-24 at 16:14:

App doesn't get any images anymore since this weekend.

+Mario Gaucher thanks, that worked indeed :-)
