Samsung keeps switching things in their bootloaders, their /system, and their protections. Naturally this requires an update to Triangle Away for these new firmwares.

As an unexpected side-effect of the changes, the Note3 is now also supported, but only on Android 4.4. Assuming they keep the bootloader more or less the same between the international Note3 and the carrier versions, those should also work with this version once they get 4.4 firmwares.

As you are probably aware, Triangle Away is not able to reset the KNOX Warranty Void status at this time. Various people have reported that they got their devices fixed under warranty even with this status set, but if your service center will be as kind is impossible to know beforehand.

Still, the binary status needs to be official and the counter 0 on recent bootloaders if you want to do fun things like flash modems with for example Mobile ODIN (update coming as well). Otherwise the bootloader will mark those regions of the flash storage as protected, and they cannot be written to (causing freezes and whatnot).

As always, it may take a few hours for Google Play to make the new version available for you - see the link in the box below. Discussion thread on XDA is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114

After Updating to the latest Version of Triangle Away, my S3 intl. running 4.3 Stock and Boeffla Kernel, it's impossible to reset the flash Counter, because my Device won't go into that "special Mode" anymore. Any suggestions?

LuiS KdT commented on 2014-01-13 at 19:22:

Tell me how i can root my Note 3 N9005

Marius Dalacu commented on 2014-01-13 at 19:34:

Does not work for my 4.4.2 N9005. The status is still custom but in Triangle Away app it appears as official ?! My counter has allways been 0 because i have always used an old bootloader and stock roms.

Chainfire commented on 2014-01-13 at 19:42:

+Dirk Eisenblaetter does it still work on stock kernel ? If so, there's an incompatibility with Boeffla ...

+Marius Dalacu You must be running the latest bootloader. Even then, sometimes it doesn't stick. When that happens, you need to flash a full stuck kernel and recovery, and boot into recovery, then normal Android, and then it'll all work again. I'm not sure wtf is up with that, though. Binary status that is. System status is a whole different story altogether.

Marius Dalacu commented on 2014-01-13 at 20:23:

+Chainfire Just to be clear, i am running the latest bootloader.

Your app status says that everything is ok, recovery mode status (odin) says that everything is ok (minus knox warranty) but in Settings About Status, 'Device status' = custom. Whats up with that?

Chainfire commented on 2014-01-13 at 21:11:

+Marius Dalacu you are rooted ... :)

Marius Dalacu commented on 2014-01-13 at 21:42:

+Chainfire Yes i am? But i could swear that in 4.3 it showed official even that it was rooted...so, from there it is my confusion. Thank you for your great work.?

Per Kongshammer commented on 2014-01-13 at 22:32:

I just knew it, it had to come and so it did. That's why you guys have to have patience. Chainfire will fix the most, just give him the time and wait.

And to you Chainfire; Once again thanks for your great work for the Android community!

Can I use this version on i9305 4.3 stock without incrementing KNOX WARRANTY VOID to 00x01?

NivlaFX commented on 2014-01-14 at 10:53:

Just a quick question so your customers like me that bought mobile Odin, Triangle Away that is not supported. Will you ever add support for the exynos s4 or any upcoming exynos devices?

Maciej Wakuła commented on 2014-01-14 at 22:52:

I also experienced "official" rooted rom with knox warranty void bit 0x0 on official 4.3 (release for Poland).

The only problem was that I mangled my build.prop and the only solution I found was to use ODIN so the eFuse (soft-fuse?) is 0x1 now.

Please add support for the GT-N8005 !

It's seemingly same as the GT-N8000, but with voice-calls disabled via firmware, I've flashed and running on the GT-N8000 firmware now and all seems to work normal.

So please add support for my device so I can get rid of this flag.

Nubin Stanley commented on 2014-03-14 at 16:13:

+Chainfire Can I try to get this straight... May sound silly... :)

Right now...

1) there are ways to get root access on the Note 3 (I have an sm-n900.. the exynos one) without tripping the knox counter.

2) but cannot flash a custom recovery or rom without tripping the knox counter.

3) once tripped, as of now there is no way of resetting the knox counter.

Is this understanding correct ?

And... does the exynos one actually have an efuse like the snapdragon one or would it be some day possible to actually reset it ? :)

And something off topic : I read somewhere that due to something samsung has in their code base, the chipset automatically switches to a very low frequency after some cpu intensive operations. And there were some fixes proposed as well I suppose. I see the lag mayself and also once my screen split into two.... basically the right side of the screen wrapped around and came to the left side !!!

Diego Marin Diego commented on 2014-03-23 at 18:07:

Just wondering... Will this work for Moto G any time soon?

Rey Dellosa commented on 2014-03-30 at 14:46:

Hi CF, the system modified workaround is greyed out on my phone saying no system excutable to implement. Any way I can get it to work?

Angela Nelson commented on 2014-04-14 at 01:38:

I purchased the triangle away app and it says everything is reset but after reboot it goes back to binary: custom and counter: 23. I have a SCH-R970C. Cricket S4. I have tried on different Roms and nothing works. Please fix!

Nubin Stanley commented on 2014-04-23 at 19:31:

+Chainfire Just a doubt that I have been trying to clear for a long time !!! :(

-Does the Exynos version of the Note 3 (SM-N900) have the knox efuse ?

-Or is it restricted to the SD800 version ?

-if no efuse, how is implemented ?

-on my phone if I go to download mode, I can see the knox counter but it is greyed out and the rest of the info is in white. (Dunno if this actually means anything) :)

A Jaber commented on 2014-04-23 at 19:42:

I Think some of the versions haven't efuse and knox counter

For me I have a warranty bit that changed to "1" ... but resetting it is not supported by Triangle Away

Waiting for v3.27

Hello +Chainfire   I have a Note 3 LTE N9005 4.4.2 rooted via Towelroot which didn't trip my Knox counter, but my system status is custom because I used Lucky Patcher and I would like to use Triangle Away to revert it to normal. Will Triangle Away trip Knox counter or affect my phone any way?

Makarim Al Assy commented on 2014-12-01 at 21:31:

+محمد الغامدي No it will not trip the KNOX warrenty just make sure that you download triangle away from the play store, you can also try going to the recovery mode wipe the cach if still showing custom then use the factory reset if you don't want then use TriangleAway
