I've just submitted a new version to Cydia, which should be live within the next 24 hours. Primarily, it fixes the issue where entry level DSLR's (550D, 600D, ...) might stop recording after a few seconds, and cause the camera screen to flicker.

Help spread the word, so I can justify spending the time to build this out!

DSLR Controller :: iOS

Sadly, no iOS 7.1 jailbreak for iPad Air atm ?

Chainfire commented on 2014-03-22 at 13:09:

One of the reasons I was hesitant to do anything for iOS is it's often unavailability of jailbreaks, and the limits iOS has otherwise ...

Any chance of Nikon support in the future for iOS version?

Talha Hamid commented on 2014-03-22 at 13:53:

Yes, any chance of support for Nikon cameras for Android?

Alan Laas commented on 2014-03-22 at 13:57:

I think Android already does support Nikon. Unless the app I have on my TF201 which is currently waiting on a part to be repaired is a different app by a different developer.

Check XDAdevelopers forum. Sure you will find it there.

Alan Laas commented on 2014-03-22 at 14:16:

Did you check the CF repository? He has a list of models there that are supported.

Alan Laas commented on 2014-03-22 at 14:25:

Actually I just looked it up in my account. The app on my tf201 is a different one from a different dev. It's called dslrdashboard. It supports Nikon.

Really nice app, that's great !! Hope to have more functions to control my dslr and perhaps Magic Lantern...

I shared your website on magiclantern.fm as lots of users would surely be interested.

Keep the good work and wish you the best for the dev !

Cheers from France

Hi Chainfire, I purchased your latest version app today and I'm using it with my Canon t2i with all appropriate cables. However, I'm getting the same problem which I see some users had in your first version which is, video record display turns off after a couple seconds. Is there any fix for this? And if not could I get a refund? thanks a bunch.

Carlos Banegas commented on 2014-06-28 at 17:15:

It records few seconds and the app crash !!

Evan Adler commented on 2015-07-22 at 07:00:

Hi There!  Can anyone tell me how to download the DSLR Controllor onto my ipad air 2 now that I have successfully finished the Jailbreak and have Cydia on the front page.  I am stuck halfway there.  So close, just need that last step...  Not sure where to find the DSLR Controller app out of Cydia now that I have it.

Can't find it in App store and not sure where to look for it within the first page of the Cydia introduction page.

Nabil Moghaddam commented on 2015-07-22 at 15:35:

The app doesn't work bro, at least it didn't for me... It kept crashing and when I tried to communicate with the developer to figure it out or get a refund he was nowhere to be found... Now I have a panasonic GH4 and the cool thing is that they have made a free app that you can use on your iphone or ipad. It's brilliant. Good luck!

Would be AMAZING if you could update/recompile for ios 8

(ipad 2 - IOS 8.1.3 is basically the limit - ios 9 is terrible on ipad2)
