Just uploaded another update for CF.lumen to the Play store, this time version 2.40. Play will take a few hours before it's visible. As usual, the changelog and the update are already available from the XDA thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2711912 . Aside from minor bugfixes, these are some of the changes:

Brightness control

You can now attach a brightness setting to each filter. By default brightness isn't touched, but if you change the brightness setting for one of the (day, sundown, sleep) filters, you should configure the brightness for all three of them.

Wake from sleep

An option has been added (enabled by default) to automatically wake from sleep mode if an alarm goes off. So if you set your sleep hours from 11 PM to 8 AM, but then your alarm goes off at 7 AM, the device will automatically go to sundown or day mode (depending on the sun's position).

Note that the alarm functionality is not standardized in Android, and different OEMs and 3rd party apps implement it differently. CF.lumen tries to notice the alarm, but undoubtedly there will be phones this feature doesn't work on.

Custom recovery and ROM support

There's now an option for the driver to be (un)installed through recovery, for those that do not have a writable system partition during normal boot time.

Additionally, if you are running a custom ROM with backuptool support (common), a script will be installed that will let the driver survive nightlies. If you're coming from an older version of CF.lumen, you need to un- and re-install the driver to activate this.

Future

All that's left on my to-do list now is remote control / Tasker support. This will take more than a few days - other apps need some attention first.

Thank you so much for that update. I can now easily flash Omni nightlies. Nice app, nice dev.

+Vassago UT nope - a small number of users are seeing this, but I cannot reproduce it (yet) and have no idea what causes it so far.

Zach Townsend commented on 2014-04-17 at 17:57:

+Chainfire Will there be an update to add colorblind modes for the daytime filter? Rather than just the master?

Chainfire commented on 2014-04-17 at 22:08:

+John C. well that is your problem as this requires 4.4

+Zach Townsend are you colorblind and do you need it ?

Zach Townsend commented on 2014-04-17 at 22:13:

+Chainfire yes,I am. and it would be very helpful

+Chainfire 4.4.2 Galaxy S 4 rooted running liquid smooth and it seems to be working fine!

Bartosz Nowak commented on 2014-04-18 at 05:00:

4.4.2 galaxy S4. After some time the app retain last filter used. I can't switch from Red to anything after me waking up. Manually trying to switch filter does not work etc. Restating phone does help.

Having trouble with the latest update for my Rom - SlimKat on my Samsung SM-N900W8 - I tried to install the Driver with the Normal method - but it fails to install. I have no idea where to look for the Cf lumen driver in my system?

I'd also like some more details about the Install Driver by Recovery method?

EDIT!! I used the Recovery method - Worked like a charm...

It would have been helpful - to have had some information about the Recovery method.... It was done "blind" - hoping that nothing would go wrong

I have a question, by the way I love your work and always a supporter by buying the applications. I've been noticing that when I turn my phone off (not completely tho) my email, messenges don't make a sound until I press the power again. I'm on the SM-G900T T-Mobile. Also I was wondering how can I disable without saying turning back on in 60 min? Thanks in advance

Good

Justin White commented on 2014-05-10 at 03:43:

Could we get customizable notification priority? I like CF.Lumen, but I don't like the notification sitting up high and expanded all the time. At the least, could you change the priority to low?

Chainfire commented on 2014-05-10 at 09:16:

+Justin White haven't tested, top of my head, but I think disabling the notification icon triggers low priority for the notification.

Why does the Optimus F6 hardly have any mods or root applications? I want cynamogen!

Lucio Daou commented on 2014-05-28 at 13:20:

Chainfire, would it be possible to add cf.lumen as a tile instead of a notification?

Carol Quintero commented on 2014-08-09 at 08:34:

That's amazing! Just the photo, I mean. I'm new and don't know much yet!
