This relatively minor update fixes a number of reported crashes and bugs, updates the timelapse module, adds some Android 4.4+ KitKat specific compatibility, and supports Android Wear.
It may take up to two days for Play to start updating the app on your device, though usually this happens within four hours after my posts.

Timelapse
The timelapse feature now lets you program a start time instead of starting immediately.
If doing single shot (as opposed to HDR) timelapse, a new progress interface has been added, with buttons to change shutter speed, exposure, and ISO speed, depending on your auto-exposure (M, Av, Tv, P, etc) mode.
It'll also show you the thumbnail of the last saved image by the camera, highlighting under- and overexposed pixels. The thumbnail is rather low resolution and not the same aspect ratio as the real image, but is very fast to transfer (as opposed to a full image) and thus does not significantly interfere with the timelapse process itself.
A larger image could theoretically be retrieved if the time between shots is 20 seconds or more, but I think most timelapsers use a significantly shorter interval.
Note that if your timelapse interval does not leave the app/camera any time to idle, the thumbnail may be delayed or not update at all.
Android 4.4 KitKat
The notification icons have been updated to the KitKat UI look.
Saving images to the external sdcard is now supported again as well. However, instead of saving to DSLRController in the root of the sdcard, images are now saved deep inside an Android folder (the UI will tell you exactly where). Additionally you should be aware that if you uninstall DSLR Controller while the sdcard is present, this folder will be wiped. There's nothing I can do about this, you can thank Google for this BS.
Support for TDLS has also been added. TDLS is a new Wi-Fi feature that significantly improves throughput between two devices connected to the same access point. If you are using Wi-Fi Passthrough Mode on two devices running Android 4.4+, connecting through an existing access point will now be just as fast as when one of the Android devices plays access point and the other connects to it directly, or Wi-Fi Direct is used. In my tests, throughput between the two devices jumped 6-fold from about 6mbps to over 35mbps using this feature.
In various situations, this simplifies wireless setup, and allows you to keep using the internet connection provided by your exiting AP. Unfortunately, this feature currently only works with two Android devices connecting to eachother - you will not see this speed increase when connecting a 6D/70D, WFT or MR3040 to a pre-existing AP, as these devices do not support TLDS. In those cases one of the devices themselves playing AP is still much faster.
Android Wear
If you have one of those fancy Android watches, and you have the Android Wear app installed on the Android device running DSLR Controller, a card will show up on the watch allowing you to capture immediately or delayed 5 seconds. The icons need some work still and you'll be shown two notification on the big device instead of one because of some Wear API ridiculousness, but it works. This will be revisited when Wear has had a little while to mature.

Can you make a root-only option to override it?
+Alexander Kashev that's currently outside of the scope of DSLR Controller, but if you get it fixed on a root level through some other hack, DSLR Controller can still work with it.
Interesting concept...but I'm not really sure of the practicality of this. What is the advantage of using your phone to control your camera?
Think bigger, Rudolph:-) I have a Samsung Tab 4 10" tablet to control my camera. Its big screen gives superb manual focusing.

+Rudolph Bistrovich There are lots of reasons... whenever it's impractical to look through the viewfinder... like having the camera mounted up high in a room for an event shoot, or down low for a ground-level macro, or for doing self portraits... (see my profile pic, for instance).
Is it possible to control the flash from DSLR Controller? I would like to turn it on/off from the app.

Will DSLR Controller/Remote Release work with devices running +Magic Lantern Firmware? My phone & camera are listed as compatible but I've never been able to make Remote Release work and have wondered if it's part of the problem.

Running latest version through modified TP Link 3040 to a 60D running magic lantern. Was able to connect and trigger shutter. Didn't put it through its paces, but was pumped I had it up in running with no issues. Hope to really start using this as app more now that I have cut the cord between my phone and camera.
Idea for you. I had my Canon 60D wired connected to my OnePlue One mounted on my tridop running your app. Was using primarily to have a larger view. I found the Wi-Fi Passthrough Mode Feature and I was thinking. Since there is so much "stuff" going on the screen why not take advantage of the Passthrough feature to create a simple shutter controller. So in other words you can have you primary device connected via a wire, step away from the set up and using you secondary device control the shutter. Nothing fancy just a simple button because with the screens being so sensitive it makes it sometimes difficult to just take a shot.
The ONLY problem I'm facing is that the DSLR confuse itself at the beginning as I use "Back Focus" and thinks that my AF doesn't work and only Manual focus is available... I had this problem from the time I started use "BF" with my 5DIII... Any chance you can allow the Back focus in the app??????? PLEASE!!!

I love the update for the time-lapse module. The only thing that I would like to have is being able to disable the thumbnail of the last picture, as it takes a lot of power using 70d's WiFi.

Chainfire , i think this app is just amazing , and if more directed to videographers or even a new app similar but with some more video features like if one could memore the focus in point A and the same in Point B and the app manage the transition would be great
i can say has a professional photographer i would pay £50.00 for a app like you have now without any problem ,specially because i own a canon 1DX and this app and the wifi set up is such a strong set up

This is a game changer app.. This even got focus bracketing which is excellent for macro photography stacking... It changes the focus instead of moving camera.. So same frame with different focus... That's cool... But I need a good user guide on this to use this app properly...
