Selection of pictures of my trip to Iceland. The picture book ended up being about 100 pages, these are just a few of the shots. So much to see here, each scene more beautiful than the last!
(pictures are not in any particular order)
Yup. I've been twice and planning a third trip.
Iceland and Norway are my two favorite travel destinations.
Not cheap ?.
+jason sutton Alarmingly expensive at times. I recently looked at a book I bought in Iceland which has the price sticker on and it's almost triple the cost of the equivalent here. And don't get me started on booze, it's enough to sober you up...
insane picture +Jorrit Jongma ...so good.
Nice shots beautiful ...
Pictures look amazing
And Argentina, the best country of Latin America :)
Really amazing pics! Thx 4 sharing ☺
Beautiful views! Is this all without photoshop? Amazing!
Simply stunning
How long was your trip to see so much?
Did you use a smartphone to take those shots?
+Jorrit Jongma thx for sharing your pic and what cam did you use?
I went to Iceland last winter (much cheaper than going in the summer). It really is an awesome place. I'd love to go back again some day, but there are so many other places I have to visit first. :-)
It is very high on my list. Have been several times to Norway now and Iceland is next. Awesome shots!
és o homem...
I've been there twice and it's still on my wishlist to go back with my kids. To be honest, I harbour a (not so) secret desire to live there once day
Don't remove your EXIF!! Great photos
What about Giant Worm ?
Definitely something what i woud like to see.
+Ruben Ali Fuenmayor 10 days including flight
+Wiktor Kasz Sorry about the EXIF. All shots done either with Canon EOS 5D mark III + 16-35 F4 / 24-70 2.8 II or 70D + 18-135. 6 stop neutral density filter for the long exposure waterfalls, which are all between 1 and 3.2 seconds. Most post processing with Lightroom. Occasional use of Photoshop to smooth out water spray from the falls. Additionally Color Efex has been used on a handful of images to enhance local contrast.
Also, G+ does an absolutely horrible job rescaling these ... they look very soft.
+Deepthi Vikram this needs to go on our list too
How was your winter visit? I'm trying to figure out when it would be best to go.
August was pretty good. I went there in the 80's with some friends. We rented a 10-seat Landrover and toured around, camping out all over the place. We took a lot of dried food with us, to keep our costs down.
+Mitch Oh - I'm from Arizona (Phoenix area), so the near constant 32° F was a bit rough for me, but I still enjoyed the trip quite a bit, even if most of my pictures are of snow. :-P
The country is beautiful, the food is great, and the people are friendly. The days are very short in the winter. The sun barely makes it up over the horizon in the winter and there was constant cloud cover while I was there. I'm sure the locals passing us by got a kick out of me and my buddy trying not to kill ourselves on the iced over sidewalks. :-)
We seemed to be the only Americans in every bar and restaurant we went to. We didn't really notice any non-locals except for a pair of Russian women (because, well...). :-D
We did run into some people from Los Angeles on a day tour but it was only the four of us on the tour. I'm guessing it's probably full of tourists during the summer.
If I ever go back, I'll probably go during the summer and take more than a week there. My time was split between Reykjavik and Akureyri and it really wasn't enough time at either.
Side note: If you are a single, straight male you may never want to leave. The women there are basically all absolutely gorgeous, and not stuck up like their American counterparts.

LOL a land of godesses! I'm booking my flight as we speak. ;) Seriously though, thanks for the info. I'll probably make my trip in May or June. Cheers!
