Nothing much wrong with v2.27, but it did have some issues installing on some devices with the very latest TWRP, based on Lollipop sources. This require some hussling around of the installation script
So here's the next test. The full ZIP installer, the TWRP/CWM installer started in-app, and the "normal" installer start in-app have all been adjusted. Test results for all of these are welcome.
Barring major reported issues, this version will start rolling out on the Play Store tomorrow.
Let me know!

Wow. That was fast. :D +1
Works fine for me, nexus 5 stock rooted with Franco kernel and latest TWRP
ا
Installed without issues on VZW LG G3/PhilZ Recovery/CM12. Works like a charm.
Not for nothing... I appreciate the ability to change that icon. Ha
Anyone know if it's safe for SM N7505
Working great on my nexus 6 even with encryption off
All good here on Sony z2 4.4.4
Installed on a Nexus 7 (grouper) using TWRP. All working fine so far.
I'm going to hold off until it hits the Play Store, if that's all right with you. Thanks for your efforts.
I really appreciate all your work! Thank you so so much!
Flash throw flashify on nexus 5 (lolipop) with stock recovery & stock kernel work like a charm
What version can I install on my device? Because the SuperSU always ask to update its binary...
All is well here, OnePlus One, 44S/franco.kernel r33
Failed to install on my N4 in TWRP, running Lollipop with Hells Doctor kernel.

No issue on my Nexus 4 running stock Lollipop. Thanks!
thanks so
For some reason I'm not able to download the file, or 2.16 for that matter either. I'm getting a server side error of No File when using Chrome, no issue with IE
Works great Nexus 6 stock aka no patched kernel
+Dempsey Vick ,
i got bootloop stuck at lolipop bootanime, i just flashed betasuperSu over superSu2.16
Flashed using latest TWRP on my Nexus 5 with franco.Kernel. Works awesome as always!
Seems to have worked fine here via TWRP on a previously unrooted Nexus 6. Thanks for all your hard work!
+Jorrit Jongma do you mind adding a new call for ACCESS_SUPERUSER ?
Flash my Nexus5 back to stock kernel then flash su2.30. works fine .THX!!!
Muchas gracias por tu trabajo chainfire, no se que haríamos sin tu gran ayuda. Así que a comprar la versión Pro para seguir aportando tu esfuerzo, que se note que tu trabajo debe ser recompensado.
+Sayan Goswami ? what and why ?
I have rooted my nexus5 with cf-auto-root and using 2.20.Can I just install 2.30apk then flash the original boot.img? I don't want to flash recovery.
By the way: I am using franco.Kernel in my case. If i want to go back to stock, flashing boot.img is the way to go or is a system.img flash also needed (i don´t know if FK is modifiying something in the system partition)? If so, is it possible to flash without data loss?
Awesome. Waiting for CF- auto root tool.
+Joao Clash well, then you should update it! ?
ok ok ok.
So, 2.27 BETA is now pushed into 2.23 final?
So we can use stock unmodified kernel again, flash 2.23 final and it will work? Because Beta 2.23 gave me a bootloop on full stock Lollipop.
Then I rooted with WugFresh Toolkit, which flashed the modified kernel.
You can end up with two icons if you selected a custom icon before. The solution is to go into settings and re-select the icon you want, and the second one disappears again
could you make the new “cf auto root” for nexus 5 (Android5.0) with supersu 2.3? please.
Updating to this version (2.30) and the latest su pro from the play store resulted in 2 app drawer icons. Both are functional and open the app. I downloaded the su pro update from the store and flashed the su update from your site, in twrp.
+Joe Manenti good thing I paid attention and read the comments haha. Thanks worked like a charm.
Worked on Nexus 5 using Philz 6.57.9, thanks for getting root back for us Chainfire!
I used to use to boot into TWRP openrecovery by typing "fastboot boot <openrecoveryname>" but it seems like on Android 5.0 now and the latest TWRP 2.8.2, I can't do this any longer? It shows me the TeamWin splash page and then reboots back into standard Android boot. Is it possible to root without having to flash a different recovery?
i see u made it stable.
