+Adarsh Thakur yes, if an ota zip is found by the app, it will inform u upon opening dat therw is an ota available, u just follow whats defaulted and wait till everythings done. Maybe the ts can explain more

I have used this app to install the latest security update on my Moto X 1st generation. It got updated (system version changed to OTA filename) but even after the update my moto update services app did not recognise the update (still asks me to install the update) I had to disable Moto update Services app just to stop annoying "you have an update" notification.

I've downloaded and located the update file for my Ulefone Power using ES File explorer but when U use Flashfire Pro (paid for) it doesn't see the file /storage/81C0-16F5/Android/data/com.adups.fota/files/adupsfota/update.zip any ideas please?

Excelente, pero tengo un problema, la descargue en mis 2 móviles uno con pantalla de 4 pulgadas en este todo bien pero en el otro de pantalla de 3.5 pulgadas no me aparece la opción de backups, al parecer la app no se ajusta a este tamaño de pantalla, ya les envíe un correo con fotos de pantalla, esperó se pueda hacer algo para poder usar su app.

I made a mistake in trying to unroot my phone by doing a 'backup & restore factory settings'. I now know it was the wrong thing to do, I could have gone into Super Su & tapped "unroot". I just wanted to restore my phone to stock & have tried to follow instructions on the 'Net. My phone is operating on an old O.S. as it was blocked from updates. I'm not an expert so I was asking for help with information.

To unroot simply look for the OTA update.zip located in sdcard/0/cache and install it using a custom recovery like twrp. It will install the system patches from the ota update. Therefore removing root access. I tried it thinking i can upgrade but instead i lost root acces... Once i had no root access i downloaded the ota update again and installed it normally and it worked... Good luck for anyone trying to unroot

I needed full unroot to restore my phone to stock & latest OS version in order to install a "secure App" to use for my Employment/Work. I am now stuck with a phone that is running a 4 year old OS & half unrooted...the App & Samsung OS updates recognise my phone has been rooted & will not install/update. I don't know how to fix it or who can help me. My Son, who is now overseas & cannot help, rooted this phone for me, I have been very happy with it. I'm glad my phone still operates at all...I'm thinking of giving up trying to understand how to fix this problem myself & buying a new phone to replace this one. Thanks for your comment.

does the phone have a custom recovery?

you need to download an app that can read the root of your internal sd card... not the ext sd card. The update downloads to your internal storage and in order to accsess the cache you need an app like (rootexplorer) or (es file explorer)

+Eduardo Vargas no, no custom recovery. I had Super Su & uninstalled it...after I made the original mistake of "Backup & Restore to Factory Settings" instead of opening Super Su & tap 'full unroot'. Tried 'Triangle Away' with all sorts of other things. I am at starters level with this...my Son is the expert but as I understand it, if I sent him the phone to fix, he could reset the phone to use in Finland, where he is...not Australia...where I am.

I have a Samsung S4 GT I9505 & it is using the Telstra Mobile Network, in Australia.

+Eduardo Vargas Triangle Away was supposed to hide the fact that I had 'tripped the counter'(whatever that means). Super Su had stopped "updating the binary" as well, (whatever that term meant, the effect was that my phone stopped progressing with updates of OS). I asked Super Su to update it's binary a few times but it would not.

先在設定→應用程式→查看外部儲存空間及設定儲存空間那個程式是不是被完全鏟空，如是，則可以賞試以 ES 文檔進入根目緑→system →app及priv-app裡尋找，如找到便長按，後擇安裝。如能找到就是你萬般的幸運，绝大部份已root過的機為什會lost OTA ？ 因為防止系统更生，當系統更生時無論有百病千毒，一個都不能留低!所以那些root程式是會把OTA幹掉的!! 另外不要混淆 Super user ,他是管理Root,而不是從沒root而獲取root! 先試這方法，才能概括知曉你的境况。

如先前root 已经注册入了系統，那就非常麻烦，设定裏的原廠重设是多餘的，他祇是reset! 不是返回原始!!在根目錄，system, app 裏才是原始。root如在根目錄中有较簡單而比較有安全的方法，而终極方法则非常復習，一絲error 便可宣佈死亡!

你現在已經理解多點概念了，不要[混淆恢復] 是可以拿回data,除非是之前已back up 外，是不㑹有什麼的update.zip 慢慢理解這一點，若能理解衝破，便不會再陷入先前的問交.题陷阱!基本上，你如今不能使用root,已證明手機是没有Root權限(除原生糸统自帶，如红米之類)。。。何來unroot呢？？你正正就是陷入了問題陷阱，類似文理不通一樣，(門未打開，不可進入) 已沒有了root, 何來unroot呢？

如你想從新root機可以用一個方法同步刷入第三方(自定義) recovery,所謂自定義是；你可自行設定從內置，外置，USB, 位置来讀取data而更生。需不需或要不要從新root是要由你决定，如若你堅持root,那我則给你最贴切的意見，但我必需强调你必须三思當中的風險，因意見是我給你我是有最大责任的，不然乱説一片而誤人子弟，人家的境况是可大可小的!因有許多人设有想過這一點。

I am sorry I made the mistake of 'Back Up and Restore Factory Settings' when inside Super Su it was simply 'clean up for full unroot' and 'full unroot'...very easy! That simple mistake made the problem. I had backed up all important files and photographs onto laptop computer. Did not need old data on phone. Needed phone to be clear of all old data and not have root.

I will ask my Son what I should do. If I should stop trying to fix the problem.
