Why we should have this Google Play Service as system app also on devices of others manufacturers since Google have his IPhone now ? Why the end-user can't grant system permissions also to others apps or uninstall Google Services if he wish or install others markets as system apps ? Google impose his restrictions in the Android world with Google Play Services which is becoming more and more a real cancer for the platform. I hope that Europe will stop the Google monopoly inside Android. In this way we can solve in better way also the SafetyNet problem and have new and more open app stores for the platform.

Suhide is excellent, but we need also a class action against the Google impositions that not respects the will of the end user.

Faxxer Seden commented on 2016-10-11 at 02:28:

+Videomap ita If Google play service is not installed in virtually every android device, China( android eco system) is what you are looking for:

There are tens of app stores, every app tries their best to abuse system apis to stay awake, downloading updated apps by itself. Even the manufacturer tends to build less compatible instance of Android ROM for their device.

Andrew Jones-McGuire commented on 2016-10-11 at 04:16:

+Videomap ita You could start by finding out why Google Play Services exists in the first place, then you could find out what Google Play Services does. Then you might understand - but I fear in your case you probably won't. So let me lay it out for you - 1) Google Play Services exists SOLELY because Google needed a way to still bring new features and security fixes to older devices when OEMs cannot be bothered to update them. 2) Google Play Services bring new features to older devices. They released Android Wear - devices right back to Android 4.1(?) were compatible, they released the Chromecast - devices back to Android 4.1(?) were compatible. They released Android Device Manager - all devices (with Google Play Services) right back to Android 2.2(?) received the ability to track a lost device. It simply would not be possible if we had to rely on OEMs to issue timely updates to older devices.

+Andrew Jones-McGuire Through Google Play Services Google has built his monopoly inside Android. If you can have system permissions and others no, is clear that you can force the entire platform in your direction. We know the good things that Google Play Services add to Android,it is not necessary to list, but at same time we also know the impositions that Google bring to Android through it. For sure there are more democratic ways to add to Android the good things through an approval process that involve the manufacturer and expecially the end users. We are tired that some functionalities the day before worked and the next day no, just because Google disabled it via Google Play Services, we are tired of spyware and anti privacy malwares, we are tired of worms like SafetyNet and many others impositions that Google add to our devices via Google Play Services that go against what we want.

The end-user must have the ability to allow and disallow system permissions like all others permissions if we want a serious and open OS where all companies have the same power and without the Google monopoly, before this Android will be always a money machine invented by Google to control developers, manufacturers and end-users.

Can anyone tell me what is the functions of this app? Being following update post from chainfire about this app but didn't sure how to use.

Konstantinos Ntamadakis commented on 2016-10-11 at 06:28:

+Mohd Akmal Zaki you download the superSU latest SR1 zip & latest suhide zip and flash it from twrp or flashfire (the superSU install it with systemless mode) after that you can hide root from specific app, not the entire ROM using the UID of the app.. Check the threat on xda ?

M.A. Zaki commented on 2016-10-11 at 06:31:

+kostas ntamadakis whatchu mean by hide root? All this time, I root, and just do the normal thing like titanium backup.

Konstantinos Ntamadakis commented on 2016-10-11 at 06:35:

+Mohd Akmal Zaki some apps like Pokemon GO, Android Pay etc. detect root and don't let you use them.. Suhide is perfect to hide root from specific app and use root apps normally and without unroot your phone or hide root from your entire ROM.. ? sorry for my bad English ?

Konstantinos Ntamadakis commented on 2016-10-11 at 06:37:

+Mohd Akmal Zaki if you don't use some of the apps that detect root, don't need it to use suhide!

Milan Berger commented on 2016-10-11 at 09:04:

+Videomap ita it's monopoly? Who cares?

Do you work for free and nothing? I do not... google works great for us and I can't see a problem in useing Google Play Services.

It depends on YOU to use GPS or not, if you don't wanna use it, choose a ROM without Google Play and start crying how bad Android is without it...

Videomap ita commented on 2016-10-11 at 12:18:

+Milan Berger You are happy to have only one company that control the entire digital world ? personally NO. This is the difference. This is negative also for your future also if you don't understand. I want be the real owner of my device and this must be my right in the digital world, i don't like to be a trained monkey in the hands of google. is not sufficient that i know how to root my phone, this must be a right of the owner of a device in a democratic country.

Android is open source, is based on Linux kernel and have inside thousands of lines of code that are hard work of persons that want the end-user free from the abuse of companies like microsoft, apple etc., Google can't get all this work and transform it in a walled garden.

Milan Berger commented on 2016-10-11 at 12:28:

+Videomap ita I cannot see "only one company that control the entire digital world"

I use google and android cause there is nothing working like this for me.

There are millions of people using Apple Hard/Software, just cause Apple just works for them.

You want be the owner of your device... ok, so build one yourself or get some of those google free android roms, but stop crying cause of gnorance and unawareness, cause this is the only thing you show here...

There really, really must not be a right to root your phone... Do you root your car as well? I BET not dude...

And now please BACK TO TOPIC, this is about SuHide... not Videomapscrying

Videomap ita commented on 2016-10-11 at 12:38:

+Milan Berger We selected in the past Android and not IOS because Android born as open alternative to fight the negative future that Apple he would create with his absurd restrictions.

When Android born, Vic Gundotra, recalling Andy Rubin's initial pitch for Android, stated:

"He argued that if Google did not act, we faced a Draconian future, a future where one man, one company, one device, one carrier would be our only choice."

One or two companies there is no difference.

Today, for the average user that not know how to root, there is no difference if use an IPhone or the Google Pixel. The monopoly is not for me but for the 90% of Android users.

Fortunately we have laws to respect also if your name is Google or Apple and the Europe is doing a good job, despite what you think or what i think.

Milan Berger commented on 2016-10-11 at 12:56:

Just wa wa, I only asked you ONE Question, you are not able to give me an answer, I am out here and you, you are silented :).

Bye bye dude, happy crying!

PS: Android was never build as an open alternative to apple, this was OpenMoko with the freerunner, never made it...

You want it free and open, use the Ubuntu Phone.

M.A. Zaki commented on 2016-10-11 at 17:31:

+kostas ntamadakis Ohh I got your point now... Ive an app that can detect root too.. it says this phone is rooted etc...might be criminal target etc...

0.55 Broke Pokemon Go for me. I couldn't get it to work at all.. Flashed 0.54 back over, works fine again

Norbert Preining commented on 2016-10-13 at 05:43:

+Jeremy Waugh on my side 0.55 worked until the latest PG update today. My guess is that the PG devs no check for suhide. I'll try your suggestion.

Milan Berger commented on 2016-10-13 at 06:56:

Worked for me with 0.55 only. Until today, now it is blocked again. Niantic this sucks ass... Bots still working, they don't need root...

Norbert Preining commented on 2016-10-13 at 06:57:

Step 1) Download One Click Root and install it on your PC, Mac, or Linux computerStep

2) Move to your Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G935 and enable USB debugging from the settings menuStep

3) Connect your Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G935 to your computer via USB cableStep

4) Run the One Click Root software and wait for the rooting process to be completed

Android rooting and customization, Samsung has worked hard to fight against it. Because of this, rooting the Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G935 on Marshmallow 6.0.1isn’t going to be an easy task. Well, unless you use a one click root software. With one click root software you will be able toautomate the entire rooting process so that you do not have to do it yourself
