+Chainfire you may want to update the app description which says "This app is built specifically for Android 5.0 and 5.1, and is working on early versions of 6.0 as well."

Based on that I would never have considered using it on Nougat.

Jason Pasch commented on 2017-02-09 at 20:52:

Yes!? Thank you!

Chainfire commented on 2017-02-09 at 21:10:

Is there any way to get my 4g network back on lineage 14.1 os.

Jason Pasch commented on 2017-02-14 at 19:02:

+Mark Kelly Why would you ask this here in a update release post for Recently?

Probably yield better results asking your questions in the Lineage OS Community.

Hi my name is Kurt and am having problems to keep my root from weakening,is there some way u can help me?

Jason Pasch commented on 2017-02-14 at 20:42:

Hi +Kurt London, as I just told another users in the comments above your own, you'll likely have better results of receive help with your question if you ask it through the proper channels(Eg. G+ Android Community or XDA Thread), somewhere that the OP's topic or agenda matches the criteria of what your question is based on.

I'll also point out that you are giving no information for the Developer to go by,

Device? Android version? Stock/custom Rom? Something pertaining to your Device setup?

You should keep this in mind for when you ask questions in the future.

Hi there. I got a pixel with the latest security update Feb 5th? And FRP lock. Any chance this will ever be unlock-able?

Jason Pasch commented on 2017-02-26 at 08:35:

+Backup not here, nope. After Dec security patch no chance, call Google support.

Backup commented on 2017-02-26 at 15:12:

+Jason Pasch thanks for the reply! (One more question?) I bought the phone from eBay. Any chance google support would help if I have no clue as to the username and password or would it be a waste of time...?

+Chainfire

I am a student trying to look everywhere on Android app, internals (custom rom making, rooting methods finding, and other flashing zips for architecture, and framework). Do you recommend any online courses (cheap, because I am not making any money yet) that are good for those specifics that I stated above? Thanks if you reply back with the online courses or books (from Amazon). :D

Davyd McColl commented on 2017-05-09 at 19:09:

Thanks for the update; unfortunately, Recently is leaving zombie sh processes (as in lots -- probably a hundred or so before I reboot my phone because it slows down to a crawl) hanging about (with status pipe_wait) on my i9300, running LineageOS nightlies (up-to-date at time of writing) )':

+Chainfire I need help I recently update to g920tues5dqa1 this update took away download mode is there anyway of rooting my s6

Jason Pasch commented on 2017-05-16 at 09:55:

+Micheal Gardner Nope, not in this post.

you want to speak to Chainfire then you should address him in the proper Forums or Threads

Not in a unrelated 13wk old post.

Davyd McColl commented on 2017-05-17 at 17:14:

+Jason Pasch no good deed goes unpunished :/ +Micheal Gardner +Jason Pasch is trying to help you by pointing you to a place where you might be heard. No need to get up on your horse about it :/

Micheal Gardner commented on 2017-05-17 at 17:20:

+Davyd McColl no I've looked everywhere already so how is he pointing me to the right direction a link or something would be helping me this isn't helping me not one bit if he wants to help me then point me to a link pertaining to this issue it's simple

Davyd McColl commented on 2017-05-17 at 17:31:

+Michael Gardner I guess you're used to people doing stuff for you, so here goes: I had to google g920tues5dqa1 to guess that you're on an S6 and I infer from your post that the problem comes from something related to Chainfire root, so I googled that for you (https://duckduckgo.com/?q=chainfire+galaxy+s6+root+forum&t=ffab&ia=web) and it looks like the forum you're interested in is this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/orig-development/cf-auto-root-t3056630

But I am just taking a guess based on the limited information you've provided and doing what you could have done, given the helpful information that Chainfire is more likely to respond to a post on an official forum than here -- which is how +Jason Pasch was trying to help you -- just that he didn't google to figure out your device and all of that -- probably because he expected you'd just man up and do it yourself.

Jason Pasch commented on 2017-05-17 at 18:29:
  • pls leave your message after the tone.. * hahaha!

+Davyd McColl on point.

Yes +Micheal Gardner I was trying to give you some better direction, but now it's obvious to me by your responses that you came here expecting to be spoon fed.

If you had even taken a moment to look over any of my previous responses just above your own, like this one for example..

”Hi +Kurt London, as I just told another users in the comments above your own, you'll likely have better results of receive help with your question if you ask it through the proper channels(Eg. G+ Android Community or XDA Thread), somewhere that the OP's topic or agenda matches the criteria of what your question is based on.”

”I'll also point out that you are giving no information for the Developer to go by,

Device? Android version? Stock/custom Rom? Something pertaining to your Device setup?”

”You should keep this in mind for when you ask questions in the future.”

Before you randomly picked whatever outlet you deemed correct in contacting Chainfire, no information, didn't take time to search anything, just picked any old message Chainfire's Tag was upon, things may have already been set in motion and you'd be closer in solving your issue, if not have already.

As I will not speak for Chainfire, but I will assume, he may appreciate the extra effort put into your query, so not having to ask you a thousand and one questions making it easier to figure out a possible course of action, even hearing what you had tried already to solve this issue yourself listing out the steps you took in getting to this point,

Or addressing him in the appropriate manner(exactly what Davyd has so graciously shared with you) within the SuperSU Threads meant just for these types of questions.

Micheal Gardner commented on 2017-05-17 at 23:18:

+Jason Pasch look I wasn't trying to seem hostile I'm frustrated I can easily do this myself I'm just trying to find some direction in finding the answer I've looked everywhere and found nothing at all so I'll just go through these threads I was given and see what I turn up I do apologize for the comment but I'm just frustrated

Micheal Gardner commented on 2017-05-17 at 23:21:

+xyz this is what I have and apparently I can't get into download mode it's either gone or my bootloader is locked but I'm out of options

Micheal Gardner commented on 2017-05-17 at 23:23:

+Jason Pasch so Ima make a thread and hope I get an answer for this but thanks anyway for the help

Jason Pasch commented on 2017-05-17 at 23:27:

+Micheal Gardner Thank you, apologize accepted.

I do understand how it can be frustrating but with Smart Devices allowing yourself to become upset will do nothing but infuriate you further, with these things patience is always key.

Now, even though it may take some time to find the answers you seek, you could in the mean time try contacting Chainfire within one the Linked XDA Thread above and try to give listing as much information that you can provide about your Device setup, while you search out other means in find the solution.

Hoping that he respondes back to you in a acceptable amount of time, but be prepared it may take a few days or even a week or more.

Jason Pasch commented on 2017-05-17 at 23:29:

Even reading over the same Thread's comments section, you may find some else whom has also the same issue and may very well have shared the solution if there is to be one.

Micheal Gardner commented on 2017-05-17 at 23:32:

+Jason Pasch I don't think so so far nothing it's weird as soon as I updated my phone download mode is gone my s6 was fine until I updated it I reflash it to stock and it updated then now it's gone I can't even put twrp on it to root it now

Jason Pasch commented on 2017-05-17 at 23:32:

+Micheal Gardner I will take a moment when I have time this evening and see what I can find regarding your issue, if I do or don't find anything related I will respond back to you here.

Jason Pasch commented on 2017-05-17 at 23:36:

+Micheal Gardner When I do start looking I may send you a Hangouts if I have any questions regarding your device setup k, respond back when time allows in this case.

Micheal Gardner commented on 2017-05-17 at 23:36:

+Jason Pasch thank you I appreciate it

Jason Pasch commented on 2017-05-18 at 22:24:

+Micheal Gardner I've poked around a little and haven't found anything related to your issue yet, I'm going to ask a friend whom is more proficient than I with Samsung devices to see what they can find, I'll get back to you when I get a response on what if anything they figure out.

Micheal Gardner commented on 2017-05-18 at 22:58:

Okay God speed I hope you find out something
